There are over 75,000 displaced refugees caught on Jordan’s desert frontier with Syria, known as “The Berm”, and lack clean water resources.
StopThirst.org was founded in 2016 as a direct response to the Syrian refugee crisis, where over 4 million refugees fled war and poverty.
We are a non-profit working alongside international aid organizations such as UNICEF and the UNCHR to implement the most advanced, efficient and stable water systems possibile within regions that are inhospitable to the survival of displaced refugees.
Stop Thirst began its project in the Middle East in the beginning of 2016 with the goal of providing a stable supply of quality water for the entire 70,000+ Syrian refugee population in Hadalat and Rukban, Jordan.
Enhancing water supply for the Torti region to create a sustainable clean water environment for a community of 15,000.
